Join us for a fun run fundraiser for the Pontiac Creative Arts Center (PCAC), kicking off their Day of the Dead celebrations, on Sunday, November 1 at 10am. This is a non-timed event. 12pm Yoga and Meditation at Designed Mindfully (91 N. Saginaw St, Pontiac, MI)
Run: Sun, Nov 1: 10am -12pm
Ofrenda viewing: 1pm - 3pm
The fun run will begin at PCAC (47 Williams St, Pontiac, MI), with a route taking the nearby Clinton River Trail. The route is an out and back run; participants can either end their run at PCAC (3.2 mile route), or continue directly to Designed Mindfully (3.75 mile route) for yoga and meditation. The course will be marked for both options.
Prior to the run, participants will be asked to send an image of a loved one (family member, friend, pet, etc...) that they would like to honor who has passed. The Super Run Club team will print the photo on a Polaroid ahead of the event, and it will be given to the participant upon arrival at PCAC. Everyone will "run with" their loved one (we'll provide pins if you'd like to attach to your outfit) and then upon completion of the run, the Polaroid can be placed on PCAC's community ofrenda.
Coffee and Mexican treats from local Sheila's Bakery will await finishers to enjoy in PCAC, while getting a first look at the Ofrenda Community exhibition, which opens that day to the public.
