Get Started is an introductory workshop for entrepreneurs and small businesses to progress their business development.
About this Event

If you have never attended a Kickstart Your Business workshop before, please fill out the registration form in advance of the session. This form is crucial for our funding purposes (more detail below). 

 

Delivered by Hustle+Heels, a business community and consultancy that comprises over 20,000 start-ups and business owners across London. 

 

Learn how to set up your business and avoid common start-up pitfalls in this interactive and practical all-day workshop. The topics discussed will include marketing, sales and finance, providing you with a start-up survival kit. By the end of the session, you will have the skills, knowledge and confidence to complete a one-page business plan. 

 

The workshop will cover: 

• How to register a business 

• The basics of financing a start-up and understanding cash flow 

• Legal and tax obligations 

• Work Life Balance 

• How to test if your business idea is viable 

• Knowing your customer and your competitors 

• Legal structures and how to choose one 

• Financing and revenue models 

• Policies and procedures 

• Compliance obligations 

• Legal and tax obligations 

• Business licenses, permits and insurance 

 

About your facilitators 

Marta Zukowska is an experienced facilitator with over 20 years' experience in delivering leadership development courses for start-up, trade-up and scale-up businesses. She delivers 1-2-1 business support across Haringey and Barnet, and facilitates the delivery of a range of other business support programmes across London. 

Dwain Reid is a business consultant with over 15 years’ experience delivering workshops, mentoring and coaching people from across the UK. His mentees have appeared on Dragons Den and he has supported others to secure investment. Dwain is also a business owner, which enables him to share his experiences of achievements and pitfalls to inspire others. 

Rushane Minkah is a qualified transformational coach who is passionate about sharing her 15+ years sales expertise and teaching experience to empower entrepreneurs as she loves to hear their business story and then create strategies, inline with their company goals and ethics. Rushane likes to challenge people’s mindset limits to help them achieve their ultimate sales performance goals. Being a Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and coach, Rushane combines NLP, mindset, and sales techniques to take people beyond their sales potential. 

 

When signing up to Kickstart Your Business, please fill out this registration form as well as registering on Eventbrite. As this project is funded by J.P. Morgan, this is important for our funding purposes. If you have previously completed this form, you do not need to fill this out again.

These are fully funded programmes. Failure to attend on two separate occasions without prior cancellation will result in you being barred from attending future workshops.
