Hybrid hands-on data science tutorial for staff and students at SickKids and beyond, offered by the Centre for Computational Medicine (CCM)
About this Event

Hands-on tutorials to help build skills required in Precision Child Health, data science and bioinformatics. The training is prepared for staff and trainees at SickKids and beyond by the Centre for Computational Medicine (CCM).

This is a hybrid event offered both in-person and online.

Topics include:

  • Data exploration
  • Preparing data for analysis
  • Data visualization using ggplot


No prior knowledge of programming is required. We encourage you to bring your laptop to practice data analysis steps under our guidance. We recommend that you have the following software pre-installed:

  • R – install from https://cran.rstudio.com (unless your laptop already has it)
  • RStudio – install from https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download
