Join us on a lovely fall sunday afternoon for a great show with two wonderful singer/songwriters from Kalamazoo! Doors 3pm, show at 4pm. DARCY WILKIN grew up surrounded by music, attending bluegrass festivals and coffee house concerts with her family. Her house was a regular stopover for touring musicians, where her folks would host jam sessions and parties where Darcy stayed up way too late, absorbing the music around her. She considers this unique upbringing a gift, as it led to her own musical path. She co-founded the Corn Fed Girls in 1997 and is an active solo performer. She released her debut solo album, Bristol, produced by Joe Newberry, in 2020. She teamed up with Newberry once again to make her second album, Time Walks Along, which was released this past April.
Darcy is also the host of long-running radio show Grassroots, on WMUK in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Started by her father, Mark Sahlgren, back in 1977, Darcy joined as co-host 13 years ago. She has been the solo host since 2022, when her dad retired. Grassroots focuses on Americana, bluegrass, singer-songwriter, old-time and folk music.
Stay tuned for info on Aaron James Wright!
