Founded in 2010 by Elba Castillo in South Minneapolis, Mexica Yolotl is a volunteer-led community dance group dedicated to preserving and celebrating pre-Hispanic (Mexica/Azteca) traditions for the Latino community across the Twin Cities.
Dancers and instructors give their time freely, performing at community events throughout the year to keep these ancient traditions alive and accessible. We bring the rhythm and spirit of our cultural heritage to every stage.

Fundado en 2010 por Elba Castillo en el sur de Minneapolis, Mexica Yolotl es un grupo de danza comunitario dirigido por voluntarios, dedicado a preservar y celebrar las tradiciones prehispánicas (Mexica/Azteca) para la comunidad latina de las Ciudades Gemelas.
Danzantes e instructores dedican su tiempo de forma voluntaria, presentándose en eventos comunitarios durante todo el año para mantener vivas y accesibles estas tradiciones ancestrales. Llevamos el ritmo y el espíritu de nuestra herencia cultural a cada escenario.
