Come and join Dream Weavers for family friendly joyful afternoon of movement, music, connection and play. An afternoon for all ages to come together, celebrate and explore all the wide rides and tides of life. This is a chance to let go, get curious and reconnect with that part of ourselves that knows how to play, explore and have fun.
We are excited about offering this from a new venue - The Old Farm Bus CIC in Ripley; we love this place, and look forward to singing in the barn with the chickens, dancing in the field and playing in the buses which sit around the edges of the space offering allsorts from soft play to craft areas and full size drum kits! We also love that our event will support the venue's work in providing creative community opportunities for young people locally.
This gathering will include:
- Fireside fun - gathering around the fire for welcomes, playful connection and songs for young ones and the young at heart
- Free flow yoga for all - gentle, family inclusive movements to warm up
- Ecstatic dance - a dance journey with all ages in mind, join live DJ Sun Gem to move, shake, play and express freely to a mix of family favourites, tunes for the inner child and uplifting tracks to bring us back with a buzz (headphone-based so the field will be fairly quiet for little ones and anyone more sensitive to sound)
Everything is invitational. Make a party of it - bring your family, friends, classmates and come ready for an afternoon of fun at the farm weaving connection, freedom, laughter with a little bit of wildness.
A few things to bring
Come dressed for comfort and movement. You will want to be able to dance, play and get a little wild!
- yoga mat or sit cushion/pad
- water bottle
- small towel if you intend to dance barefoot
- layers
- snacks
For the younger dancers, our headphones are adjustable and suitable for most school-age children, but may be a little large for very small children. Bringing a hat to wear underneath the headphones may help with fit and comfort.
Children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer throughout the day.
