About this Event
Next summer’s beautiful dahlias start this fall! Join UConn Certified Master Gardener Paul Rossi and Farmer Frank Fereleto for a practical workshop at Wakeman Town Farm. We’ll head into the field to learn how to dig dahlia clumps, then watch a demonstration of how to divide them and explore methods for storing tubers over winter. Learn how to protect your favorite varieties and multiply your collection for next season. Whether you’re growing your first dahlias or have a garden full, come ready to learn, ask questions and get a little dirty. Bring garden gloves and wear footwear suitable for the fields.
