About this Event
The COP31 Bike ride is a large relay bicycle ride event with the aim of creating awareness of the Climate Emergency and promoting cycling as a form of climate action. The project consists of several cycle rides starting in different countries, joining along the way and ultimately arriving in Antalya, Turkey, where the COP31, the annual world’s largest Climate Conference organised by the UN, will take place in November 2026.
We are organising the 7-day London to Paris section, starting at 9am on 24 July from Parliament Square and finishing on 30 July in central Paris, where we will meet cyclists from other routes before continuing south towards Lyon and onward to Antalya.
There is no fee to take part in this ride and you can join or join at any stage (eg decide to only cycle from London to Brighton or continue until Antalya!)This ride is suitable for most average cyclists whereby we cover around 50-80km daily.
It is not a race but an opportunity to enjoy cycling on quiet roads through beautiful countryside along historic sites, as well as to mingle with like-minded people.
This following link will take you to the Google Drive document which provides more details about the London to Paris ride event including how to register and become a member of the WhatsApp group where will be discussing details of the ride, also via video call General info for COP31 bike ride branch London to Paris.doc
