About this Event
This workshop is designed to help understand and manage the growing cybersecurity risks facing small businesses. Participants will learn about common cyber threats such as phishing, ransomware, malware, and social engineering, while identifying vulnerabilities that may exist within their own business operations. Through practical examples and safe cybersecurity practices, they will gain the skills needed to protect business systems, devices, data, and online accounts.The workshop covers essential cybersecurity fundamentals. Participants will also learn how to recognize and respond to suspicious activity, and foster a culture of security within their organization. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a clearer understanding of the impacts of cyber incidents and be better equipped to safeguard their business in an increasingly digital environment.

Prerna Seth. A Cybersecurity & Data Management Program Co-Manager at The Women's Centre of Halton, Prerna helps build digital confidence in people & the communities she serves. With an engineering background & an MBA, she brings both technical depth & a big-picture perspective to everything she does. Prerna holds a Diploma Certification in Cybersecurity Analytics & Cloud Operations from York University.
