About this Event

MEETING POINT is outside the cemetery cafe at the north entrance on Old Brompton Road.
Learn about the CWGC and it's work looking after the 381 casualities commemorated in the cemetery. The tour differs from those held in 2025. You will hear about a military aviation pioneer, a soldier who formed an orchestra whilst a prisoner in WW1, another who escaped, but sadly died during the flu panademic at the end on WW1, a POW who worked on the Death Railway in WW2, plus many other ordinary men and women who did extraordinary things and paid the ultimate price.

The tour lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 2000 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground.
There is no parking available, nearest Tube and overground station is West Brompton. There are on-site facilities and toilets. Please bring water if required.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs are allowed in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.
