Bring your flowers from the garden to the vase! This hands-on class will introduce the tools and techniques used to harvest flowers at the right time, keep them fresh, and turn them into a beautiful arrangement.
Participants will learn:
• How to identify the best stage for harvesting different flowers
• Why clean tools and buckets are important
• The best time of day to harvest
• How to cut and handle flower stems
• How to rest and condition flowers before arranging
• Simple techniques for creating a balanced bouquet
• Tips for helping cut flowers last longer in the vase
This class is perfect for home gardeners, new flower growers, and anyone who would like to feel more confident arranging flowers from their own garden.

Flower, vegetable, and herb starts will be available for purchase to help you get started. Specialty plugs will be available in November by pre-order.
The class will be held outdoors and may include hands-on demonstrations. Please bring water and dress for working in the garden. Closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and a notebook are recommended.
