Curio-City Experiences #3: Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin
After our first two successful editions, Curio-City Experiences is back for another round. This time, we’re heading to the cinema for a special evening to mark this year's Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin.
On Sunday, October 11, a very special chapter of Curio-City Experiences awaits The Columbist community. We’ll meet at Kino Moviemento (Kottbusser Damm 22, 10967 Berlin) at 7:30 PM for a screening of Isola (2025), directed by Nora Jaenicke. The film is in German and will be screened with English subtitles.
And the evening doesn’t end when the credits roll. Following the screening, we’ll join a Q&A with director Nora Jaenicke, with the opportunity to hear more about Isola, her creative process, and the experience of filmmaking as a female creative.
As it is the closing day of the festival, the Q&A will lead into another special moment: the Festival Winner Announcements. With many of the filmmakers attending, it will be a rare chance to meet and connect with the creatives behind the films in person.
Finally, we’ll swiftly transition into more relaxed conversations and a chance to meet fellow Columbist members and creatives during the official FFFB Closing Drinks.
