Join Chris Westbrook, Curator of the Heath Robinson Museum, as he explores the life and work of one of Britain’s most beloved illustrators. Framed by the landmark exhibition 'Unseen' — which brings together extraordinary works never before shown in public — Chris will reveal how the exhibition was created and how these newly discovered pieces shed unexpected light on Heath Robinson’s imagination, craft, and humour.
As well as original prints and drawings by William Heath Robinson on loan from the collections at Bruce Castle Museum & Archive (Heath Robinson was born in Stroud Green and spent his later life in Highgate), the exhibition has on display some remarkable and previously undocumented finds. These include artworks from the King’s Collection at Windsor and privately owned Shakespeare illustrations locked away since 1921 — rare treasures now on public view for the very first time.
