Cultural Hotspot In-Person Funding Info Session
The City of Toronto's Cultural Hotspot program is offering funding for arts, culture and community projects that celebrate the people, places and stories of Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park (KGO). From June to October 2027, Cultural Hotspot will shine a spotlight on the KGO community through workshops, events and community activities.
The Funding Info Session will provide an overview of available funding opportunities, program objectives, eligibility requirements, the application process, and opportunities to receive feedback on project ideas from a Cultural Hotspot team member.
Funding is available through two streams:
SPARK Projects: Up to $9,000 for arts, culture and community projects that foster creativity, strengthen community connections and celebrate local stories.
Signature Projects: Up to $22,000 for larger-scale, community-engaged arts and cultural initiatives. Intended for established applicants with demonstrated experience successfully delivering medium- to large-scale community-engaged arts and cultural projects.
Individuals, collectives and grassroots groups without incorporated non-profit status are required to work with a trustee. Additional funding may be available for trustee fees where applicable.
Applications close January 11, 2027.
