About this Event
Bringing Communities Together: Two creative networks join forces
Your Shout and the BCP Cultural Compact invite you to an evening of inspiring stories, meaningful conversations and new connections.
At a time when collaboration across our creative and cultural sector has never been more important, this gathering creates space to meet new people, hear different perspectives and explore how we can shape a more connected and inclusive cultural future together.
Who is it for:
Open to everyone working in, alongside or interested in arts, culture and creativity—whether you are an artist, creative practitioner, cultural organisation, community leader, student, volunteer, business owner or simply curious about the role creativity plays in bringing communities together.
The evening begins with a series of short talks exploring the theme Journeys, where Global Majority creatives will share personal stories of creativity, leadership, identity and belonging. Their experiences will provide a starting point for wider conversations about the opportunities, challenges and aspirations shaping our creative and cultural sector today.
The talks will then lead into facilitated in-the-round conversations, inviting everyone to contribute, ask questions, and explore the topics that matter most. Rather than listening from the sidelines, you'll help shape the conversation, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections while exploring the actions we can take together to strengthen our creative communities.
Hosted within the inspiring surroundings of Sharon James' current exhibition at Lighthouse, Poole, this is an opportunity to connect with others, hear fresh perspectives and be part of the conversations shaping the future of creativity, culture and community across our region.
