Democracy is bigger than the ballot box. It happens in our communities, in our conversations and in the choices we make every day.Join us for the College of Liberal Arts Democracy Summit, October 26–27, for two days of conversations, ideas and opportunities to explore the questions shaping democracy today and what comes next.
From the political crossroads of artificial intelligence to independent journalism, civic engagement and public dialogue, the Summit brings together scholars, students, civic leaders and community members to examine democracy from different perspectives and imagine new possibilities for the future.
Featured events include a keynote conversation with Kyle Saunders, CSU professor and 2026 CLA Distinguished Professor of Democracy; a screening of Steal This Story, Please! followed by an extended Q&A with journalist Amy Goodman; and opportunities to explore how Colorado communities are strengthening civic participation and building stronger connections across differences.
Whether you're passionate about politics, curious about current events or interested in how you can make a difference in your community, there's a conversation for you.
All events are free and open to the public. Visit https://col.st/s77Ar for a full list of Summit events.
