Pulitzer winner Caroline Shaw joins Decoda for her own music and Brahms’s B-flat Sextet.About this Event
Pulitzer prize-winning Caroline Shaw writes for strings the way someone who plays them writes—from inside the sound. She joins Decoda on viola for an afternoon of her own music paired with Brahms's B-flat Sextet, written when he was twenty-six, his first real success in chamber music after years of false starts. Decoda, the Carnegie Hall affiliate ensemble co-founded by Owen Dalby, has spent years in this repertoire together.
