About this Event
Behind the shopfronts and galleries of Chester’s Rows lies a long history of crime, punishment and the struggle to keep order.
On this walking tour led by Criminology staff from the University of Chester, you’ll explore the Rows through a criminological lens, visiting five key locations to discover how architecture, law and power have shaped the way the city has dealt with wrongdoing over the centuries.
Who held power, who was policed, and how did the buildings themselves play a part? It’s a fresh perspective on familiar streets, and one that will change how you see the Rows the next time you walk them.
