About this Event
Lewis is an author, illustrator and comedy content creator from the North West (St Helen’s). He is a brilliant voice in contemporary storytelling, known for blending humour, heart and honesty in his work. Lewis authored the groundbreaking 2022 graphic memoir Welcome to St. Hell: My Trans Teen Misadventure, about growing up as a trans teen in the 2000s, which was shortlisted for several awards, including an Eisner Award. Escape from St Hell is the sequel. He co-founded the documentary film project My Genderation with Fox Fisher, a creative non-profit organisation who celebrate trans lives through film and art. He is also a viral comedy creator and LGBTQ+ advocate whose online characters including British Mum and Prinny Queen, have earned him a devoted following.
Come and join Lewis to get to the heart of his creativity. Copies of both graphic novels as well as Of The Flesh will be available to buy from books on the walls, which Lewis can sign.
