About this Event
The session is delivered by Dr Sarah Fox, NIHR Dementia Research Fellow and Senior Fellow with the Global Brain Health Institute. Drawing on research and practice, Sarah will explore what brain health is, how creative activity can support brain health across the life course, and how we can communicate these messages effectively with communities.
In this session discover how creativity, culture and heritage can support brain health and healthy ageing, explores the growing evidence linking creative engagement with improved wellbeing and stronger social connections. Participants will learn how creative health approaches can help older adults to live well, stay connected and maintain their independence.
The training combines evidence, practical examples and discussion, helping participants understand the connection between creativity, social connection, wellbeing and brain health, and the role that arts, culture and heritage organisations can play in supporting healthier ageing.
