Upcoming Sessions at North Edinburgh Arts:
Thursday 17 September: Paper Weaving Workshop with Sally Price
In this workshop we will explore a simple yet effective paper weaving technique that explores colour, pattern, and process. Repetitive and relaxing, paper weaving allows your hands to be busy and your mind to focus on making. We will be using a variety of papers, including some recycled and hand-painted, and exploring how a simple technique can yield beautiful results.
Thursday 22 October: Elder Tree: Magic and Making with Sara Cough (Art Buds Collective)
In this session, we will start with a gentle wander in the lovely NEA garden . We will explore the folklore of this magical tree, then prepare and create wearable or hangable artworks from branches, dyed with natural paints (including elderberries).
Thursday 12 November: Creative Movement with Curious Seed
The session with Curious Seed (facilitated by Artistic Director Christine Devaney and Creative Learning Associate, Hayley MacDonald) will encourage moving with ease, personal expression and joyful creativity; to build self-confidence and a sense of wellbeing. This creative movement and dance session is suitable for all abilities and levels of experience.
