About this Event
Whether you're creating your first comic, developing a graphic novel, or simply curious about telling stories through words and pictures, everyone is welcome. Illustrator Karin Eklund will offer a selection of creative prompts to help spark ideas, or you're welcome to bring along your own work in progress and spend the evening drawing in good company.
Creative Comics is a relaxed, supportive space to explore visual storytelling, develop your own ideas, and connect with fellow comic makers. Whether your story is funny, personal, fictional, this is a chance to carve out time for your creative practice in an encouraging, informal setting.
Our café bar will be open throughout the evening, serving hot and cold drinks alongside a delicious selection of deli treats, including sausage rolls, vegan rolls, quiche, focaccia, and cakes.
Settle in with good music, a drink of your choice, and a couple of hours drawing comics and graphic stories.
Doors open: 6:00 pm
Drawing: 6:30–8:30 pm
All experience levels are welcome. Just bring your favorite drawing materials, and if you're already working on a comic or graphic novel, feel free to bring it along.
