About this Event
From Page to Song: The Journal as Creative Practice
Every artist starts somewhere private. In this hands-on workshop, KJ Dillard guides participants through the journey of turning raw, personal writing into music, showing how a journal entry can become a poem, a poem can become lyrics, and lyrics can become a song.
Journaling isn't just a wellness habit, it's one of the oldest creative tools artists use to process emotion and find their voice. Whether you're a songwriter looking to unlock your next project or simply someone who wants a fresh way to work through what you're feeling, this workshop meets you where you are. No musical or writing experience required, just a willingness to put pen to paper.
Participants will leave with a new creative practice they can return to, and a deeper understanding of how self-expression supports mental health.
