Become a lifesaver and earn CPR certification at our upcoming one-day CPR course! The class will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29 at the Arvada Fire Training Center. Registration is $40 and participants who complete the course will receive certification through the American Red Cross. At this training, you will obtain the most up-to-date lifesaving knowledge and skills to confidently respond when moments matter. Instructors are members of Arvada Fire.
CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, can help save a life during cardiac arrest when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. If performed immediately, CPR can double or triple the chance of survival from an out of hospital cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, only about 40% of people who experience an OHCA get the immediate help that they need before professional help arrives.
By making the decision to become CPR certified, you are learning a lifesaving skill and making a difference in the health and safety of your community.
Registration is required and is open to the public.
