Looking for something to do with the kids on the last day of half term? Bring them to Cowley Road Carnival.
We’re taking over Fusion Arts for a free afternoon of carnival made for kids and families. There are hands-on workshops for children aged 11 and up, and crafts, music and food for the younger ones and grown-ups too.

🥁 Steel Pan Workshop
Your kids will learn to play steel pan. They don’t need any experience, just bring them ready to make some noise.

Kids will design and build their own carnival headpiece from scratch, and take it home at the end of the day.
Each workshop lasts around an hour and a half, with a short break in the middle. There are only 15 places per workshop, so book early.

Carnival belongs to all of us, and that starts with the next generation. This is one of the ways we’re bringing it back to the community, on the road to Cowley Road Carnival on 4 July 2027.
Brought to you by Cowley Road Works, the charity behind Cowley Road Carnival.
