Cowboy Poetry L.A. is taking over Eastwood L.A. for a night of writing, storytelling, music, and good ol’ fashioned community.
For the first time ever, we're introducing an “Origin Theme” — a special writing prompt designed to get you digging into where you come from, what shaped you, and the stories that made you who you are.
No experience necessary. You don't have to be a poet. You just have to be willing to write something or listen to others in a positive and respectful WESTERN space.
OUR VINTAGE TYPEWRITER ACTIVATION 7:30-All Night
Sit down at one of our vintage typewriters and put something on paper. Pull a writing prompt from the cowboy hat, take it wherever you want, and see what comes out.
Then, if you're feeling brave...
THE OPEN MIC Sign Ups by 8pm starts 9-9:30pm
Our open mic is open to musicians, poets, storytellers, and anyone with something to share.
Read a poem. Play a song. Tell a story. Try something you've never performed before.
Prizes will be given away throughout the night. 🏆
LAELIA TEQUILA
Our friends at Laelia Tequila will be joining us with free tequila tastings for guests 21+.
HOSTED BY
Amir Beardsley & Ruby York
Come write something. Hear something. Meet somebody. Maybe discover a story you didn't know you had.
This is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind Cowboy Poetry L.A. experience — and it's FREE.
