Join COVA Coalition's Street Team to talk to voters at community events and show people the resistance is alive and well! One upcoming event is the Packet Pickup for the Virginia Beach Wicked 10K. Join our team for a 2-hour shift from 1-7 pm on Friday, October 30, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St. in Virginia Beach. Sign up via Mobilize... https://www.mobilize.us/virginiagrassrootsorg/event/1073952/ The team will share educational materials and discuss why it's important to vote "yes" on the 3 amendments to the Virginia Constitution on the ballot this November. They'll also show people how to register to vote or check/update their voter registration on their phones; give out stickers; and encourage others to find their voice, take action, and protect democracy!
PLEASE NOTE: This activity involves standing and walking! We will NOT have a table at this event; instead, we will walk around and talk to people as they enter the venue. We will brief all team members on the content and importance of the 3 amendments, train them on how to engage people, and provide the materials needed (flyers, clipboard, stickers, etc.).
(This event is NOT hosted by Virginia Beach Resistance.)
