About this Event
The nights are drawing in. The jumpers are out. It’s officially book weather 🍂
Join us at Cotton cafe at Civic for a cosy book swap social. Bring a book or two, swap them for something new, and settle in with a hot drink and other people who like a good read.
How it works
Bring at least one book you’re happy to pass on. Pop it on the table when you arrive. Have a nose around, pick something that catches your eye, and take it home for the long evenings ahead.
Any genre is welcome. Crime, cookbooks, a dog-eared romance, that thriller you bought at the airport. If you bring more than you take, lovely. If you take more than you bring, we won’t tell anyone.
What to expect
- A warm, relaxed social
- Tea, coffee and something autumnal to nibble on available from Cotton
- Comfy corners to browse, chat and swap recommendations
- Plenty of time to find your next favourite read
Good to know
Please bring books in decent condition. No missing pages, no soggy paperbacks. Come with friends, or come on your own and make some.
You don’t need to be a Civic member to join in.
