About this Event
About the Event
This event welcomes everyone interested in corrosion mitigation, including women and allies across industry, academia, and the engineering community. Join us to share knowledge, explore practical solutions, and build connections across the corrosion community.
Through a series of short technical presentations, speakers will share insights into corrosion prevention and control strategies, including cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, and examples of damage mechanisms affecting industrial equipment.
The evening will conclude with a panel discussion featuring the speakers, offering attendees an opportunity to ask questions, exchange perspectives, and explore the challenges and opportunities of bridging research and industry practice.
Whether you work in corrosion engineering, materials science, inspection, asset integrity, or are a student interested in these fields, this event offers an opportunity to expand your technical knowledge, connect with peers, and engage with professionals working to advance corrosion mitigation.
What to expect:
- Technical presentations: Discover research findings, practical applications, and industry case studies related to corrosion mitigation.
- Industry and academic perspectives: Learn from professionals working across research and industry
- Interactive panel discussion: Ask questions and explore practical challenges, lessons learned, and emerging opportunities.
- Networking: Connect with fellow engineers, corrosion specialists, researchers, technicians, and students over food and refreshments.
Who should attend?
Engineers, corrosion and materials specialists, inspection and asset integrity professionals, technicians, researchers, and post-secondary students interested in corrosion prevention, mitigation, and control. Anyone interested is welcome!
