Join Cotehele's ranger team for a beginner-friendly day workshop to learn the craft of Cornish hedging, in association with the Tamar Valley National Landscape and funded by the Farming In Protected Landscapes grant. Participants will learn the basics of stone walling or hedging from the bottom stones (grounders) all the way up to the top (hedgers). There are just four free places available, only bookable via email to [email protected].
You will meet staff at Cotehele's reception at 9am for an introduction before you are transported to the workshop site on Cotehele's estate, returning at 3pm.
Please be aware that there are no handwashing or toilet facilities at the workshop site.
You will need to bring lunch, wear appropriate weather-proof clothing and sturdy boots (ideally steel toe-capped boots). Other PPE will be provided.
