About this Event
House of Community CIC is working with Cooperation Town to set up a new food co-op, run by local people, for local people.
A food co-op brings neighbours together to buy groceries collectively, making fresh fruit, vegetables and everyday essentials more affordable while building a stronger local community.
Join us for our founding meeting!
Cooperation Town will be joining us to explain how food co-ops work, answer questions and help us take the first steps towards setting up our own.
It’s a chance to:
- Learn more about how a food co-op works.
- Meet neighbours and others interested in getting involved.
- Discuss how we’d like our local co-op to run, including what goes into the weekly grocery boxes and how much members contribute.
- Sign up to become a member and help shape the co-op from the beginning.
