About this Event

Do you enjoy being outdoors and want to help out in your community?

Join the (CYC) series this Spring/Summer with Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP) in Thornhill! We will be working to ensure the gardens at both York Hill Park and Gallanough Park thrive for local bees, butterflies, and other essential wildlife.

This is a great opportunity to earn high school community service hours while making a lasting environmental impact in your neighborhood! All tools and training are provided. No experience necessary—just dress for the weather and be ready to dig in!

Register for ANY OR ALL of the following event days:

  • June 15 | York Hill Park
  • June 22 | Gallanough Park
  • July 6 | York Hill Park
  • July 13 | Gallanough Park
  • August 17 | Gallanough Park
  • August 24 |York Hill Park

**Additional meeting location/address details will be provided in a reminder email leading up to the event.


Who Can Apply

To participate in the program, you must:

  • Be at least 14 years of age
  • Be currently enrolled in High School
  • Have an interest in the outdoors and environmental conservation
  • Be comfortable working in a team
  • Be punctual and reliable

TRCA is committed to creating an accessible experience for all participants. If you require an accessibility accommodation, please email [email protected] at least 5 days prior to the event.

Cancellation Policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 7:00am on the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
