About this Event
Pull up a chair, raise a glass, and get rooted in conservation at the November 9 Conservation Chat: Forest to Flask & Ashland SWCD Annual Meeting! 🌳🥃 Join us for an evening where forestry meets fine spirits as we uncork the story behind the white-oak bourbon barrel shortage and explore how thoughtful oak forest management can help keep America’s favorite spirit flowing. You’ll also enjoy bourbon samples from local distiller Minglewood, proving that great conservation—and great bourbon—both start with strong roots.
The evening will also celebrate the people growing conservation in our community. Cast your vote in the Ashland SWCD Board Election, help us honor our 2026 Annual Award Winners—Sundance Valley Farm, Twin Oak Farm, and Mapleton Cares Day—and raise a toast to the many partners making conservation work, including our local H2Ohio participants, dedicated cover crop producers, and the outstanding students recognized through the Ashland SWCD County FFA Soils Contest.
It’s part learning, part celebration, and part bourbon appreciation—because when forests thrive, communities (and glasses) stay full. 🌿🥃
