Planning for the 2026 Ohio ARES Conference is currently underway. We are scheduled for Saturday November 21. This year we will have a new location in Ashland County at the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office Annex. Believe it or not, this new location is actually more centrally located for more of last year’s attendees than not. For those in the extreme southwest part of the state, I’ll apologize in advance for your added drive time. Ashland is approximately 1 hour north of Columbus.I’m also in the process of getting presentations finalized for the Ohio ARES conference. At this time, I have a total of 7 presentation slots lined up. I’ve reached out to several potential speakers but if you know of someone who has a topic that would benefit everyone, please let me know. Presentations will be approximately 30-45 minutes each with time in between for brief socializing and short breaks.
As with last year, the new venue is located near lots of food options, and we will provide everyone with an hour to go out and grab lunch. It’s also not far from the highway so travel shouldn’t be too bad for most.
