Connecting Carers: Share, Learn, Support

A FREE event where caregivers from ethnically diverse communities can connect, share experiences, and learn from each other.
About this Event

Join us at Connecting Carers!

This friendly, in-person event brings together carers from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and local organisations, to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Many carers build up valuable knowledge about what helps — from local support and useful tools to ways of coping day to day. But this kind of information isn’t always easy to find unless it’s shared.

This event is a chance to come together in a relaxed, supportive space to chat, swap ideas, and learn from others who understand — as well as connect with local organisations offering support for carers.

We will also be bringing together everyone’s ideas to create a shared list of helpful services, resources, and tips for carers, so your experiences can help others too.

A small number of local organisations will be there to share information and answer questions.

Who is this event for?

If you identify as being from an ethnically diverse background and are looking after someone who cannot manage without your help, this event is for you.

Come along to…
  • Meet other carers who understand
  • Chat, share experiences, and swap ideas
  • Discover useful services, tools, and support
  • Speak with local organisations and find out what they offer
  • Pick up tips and ideas that might help day to day
  • Contribute to a shared resource to support you and other carers

Free to attend, with lunch and refreshments provided.
