About this Event
Enjoy a gentle pace with plenty of time for feeding, changing, and taking breaks as needed.
Step into 900 years of history as you follow in the footsteps of knight-monks, printers, writers, publicans, and philanthropists. Discover the fascinating lives of those who lived, worked, and socialised within these remarkable buildings, spaces that have survived against the odds thanks to the many roles they’ve played over the centuries.
The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and includes the Priory Church, crypt, and historic rooms within St John’s Gate.
Please note that, due to the historic nature of the site, the tour is not suitable for prams or buggies. We kindly ask that you bring a baby carrier or sling; a limited number will be available to borrow on the day. As part of the tour takes place outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather.
You can expect a welcoming, supportive atmosphere, a few gentle sensory moments for older babies, and an opportunity for grown-ups to enjoy a cultural experience without pressure.
After the tour, you’re warmly invited to stay for hot drinks, light refreshments, and a friendly chat.
