About this Event
The BeaYOUtiful Foundation is excited to partner again with Leslieville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, bringing back a unique movement based workshop to the community. Confidence In Motion is an empowering workshop designed to help girls and non-binary youth ages 9–13 navigate confidence both mentally and physically.
In this workshop, participants will explore positive body image and challenge appearance-based pressures while discovering how Jiu Jitsu builds confidence through strength, movement, and self-defence.
Through mentorship, reflection, and teamwork on and off the mat, participants will celebrate what their bodies can do and embrace their unique strengths. The workshop will consist of a positive body image session and conclude with an introduction session in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
No experience or equipment needed! This is a great movement class for all.
What participants will experience:
- A safe and welcoming environment led by trusted mentors.
- BeaYOUtiful Positive Body Image Workshop including mentorship led conversations and creative tangible activities.
- An introduction session to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - exploring stance, balance, & proper safety movements. Attendees are encouraged to particpate at their own pace and will be empowered to take part in power stances, teamwork exercises, and Jiu Jitsu games.
- Meaningful connection with peers and Soul Sisters in the community.
We can’t wait to welcome your child into this beautiful experience of belonging, confidence, and community!
