About this Event
The Community Participation Network is WFCVS’s flagship network, bringing together community and voluntary groups from across Waltham Forest. This month we meet in person at Chingford Library.
On the agenda:
The Association of Chairs. It’s Trustees’ Week, so we’re starting with the people at the top table. The Association of Chairs supports chairs of charities and other not-for-profit boards. Come along whether you chair a board, sit on one, or are thinking about becoming a trustee.
The North London Community Fund. The North London Waste Authority (NLWA) will introduce its grant scheme, which launches on 5 November. The fund supports waste prevention initiatives in north London, with £250,000 set aside each year in grants for not-for-profit community organisations across the seven north London boroughs, including Waltham Forest. Alongside funding, NLWA offers communications support and ongoing guidance for funded projects. Applications close on 16 February 2027. Bring your questions. nlwanlwa
Volunteering update. We’ll share the results of the WFCVS Volunteering Function Survey, so you can hear what local groups told us they need. You’ll also get a first look at the new volunteering platform we’re considering, and a chance to shape it before any decision is made.
