Whether you’re a garden lover, bug lover or just someone who’s keen to meet their neighbours – you’re very welcome to join us! We’re a mixed ability friendly group from teenagers to retirees who help look after the grounds at the old Sanderstead library. From sweeping and weeding the paths and steps to creating and planting new flowerbeds and everything in between.
We’re maintaining the front garden in its more formal glory and slowly developing a fun community garden space at the back which will include dens, play space, bug hotels, vegetable patches, a wildlife pond and more!
All hands welcome ☺ Please bring tools if you have them!
Practical Details:
Our building and grounds are not (yet) fully accessible, there are steps up and/or down to the toilets which are not suitable for wheelchair users or those who need assistance.
