Supported by Shrewsbury Big Town Plan's Vitality project, Shrewsbury BID is launching The Wilfred Owen Community Garden in Abbey Foregate. When we invited you to volunteer, over 100 of you raised your hands - thank you!
We've appointed four volunteer Garden Leads, the ground has been cleared, the raised beds have been built, and now we want to hear from our future volunteers about what the garden means to them and how they'd like to see the space take shape.
Join us at English Bridge Studios to hear more about the project and get involved with an interactive workshop to share your ideas and input as we shape what this space will become. It's a great chance to connect with your fellow volunteers and think about what you can offer going forward!
You'll hear from project leads Seb Slater and Martin Monahan on the project so far, meet the four newly appointed garden leads, and then get stuck into a relaxed, table-based workshop where you can share what a community garden means to you and what you'd like to see us do with the space.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please note: this is a planning and visioning event - there will be no gardening or physical work on the night. We expect to invite you to a gardening morning very shortly as we work to get the beds ready for planting!
