Community Day | 10.15.2025
Community Day at the AAACC is a an offering continuing our legacy of being an accessible space for the Black San Francisco community and the San Francisco community at large in the heart of the Western Addition/Fillmore neighborhood.
Every Wednesday there will be different offerings all of which are free and open to the public (unless otherwise noted).
This week's offerings are:
- Model Moves w/ Mario B (for kids ages 8-13)
- Black'N'Visible w/ The Strutters Room SF
- Burrellercise w/Brother Gregory Burrell
- Capoeira w/Brother Terry Baruti
- Staged Reading: No Left Turn by Buriel Clay
- Treat Yo'Self Mental Health Expo
- The OpuLENS of Blackness Walking Tour
- Visit the African American Historical and Cultural Society and the current Sargent Claude Johnson exhibit

Info: Kids ages 8-13 are invited to take modeling classes and workshops with renowned designer and fashion show producer, Mario Benton aka Mario B. Participants will not only have the opportunity to learn runway and photography skills but will also have the opportunity to participate in monthly fashion shows held at the African American Art and Culture Complex (AAACC)

Burrellercise!
Host: Brother Gregory Burrell
Info: Join dancer/performer Gregory Burrell for a session of his unique, low impact exercise-dance fusion. Burrellercise is a Low Impact Isolation exercise style for everybody, especially seniors, with fun choreographed dance routines.
