Middle school often gets a reputation as a time to simply survive, but we believe it can be a time for young people to truly thrive!Join us for our next Community Conversation on December 01, 2027, as we explore all things middle school and discuss the book Middle School Matters by Phyllis Fagell.
Middle school brings big changes. Friendships shift, identities begin to take shape, academic expectations grow, and young people navigate a body and brain that are changing rapidly. Rather than bracing for the drama, what if we viewed these years as an incredible opportunity to help our children develop the skills they need to thrive now and in the future?
Together, we'll explore how we can help middle schoolers:
Build and navigate healthy friendships
Develop organization and decision-making skills
Advocate for themselves and their needs
Build confidence and a stronger sense of identity
We'll also discuss how we, as parents and caregivers, can stay connected to our children during this stage while giving them the space to make choices, learn from experiences, and grow.
Whether you are already navigating the middle school years or preparing for what's ahead, this conversation is an opportunity to connect with other parents, share perspectives, and discover ways to make these years a time of growth and possibility.
