We’re excited to invite you to a special Community Block Party celebrating the groundbreaking of the future Ontario Community Food Center. This event is free and open to the public!Join us as we gather on the future site of the Ontario Community Food Center (the open lot between River Bend Place and Valley Family Health Care’s Fortner neighborhood clinic) to celebrate the progress we’ve made on this exciting new project. The Community Food Center will be a critical resource for food access, connection and community well-being, serving the Malheur and Harney counties.
The block party will celebrate with food and drinks, family-friendly activities and opportunities to connect with local partners and leaders. Join Oregon Food Bank and the Western Treasure Valley Foods System Partnership, as well as neighbors, local organizations and elected officials!
Our brief program will include remarks from Valley Family Health Care Board Chair and ODHS District Manager Dan Ramirez, as well as other local and State representatives, and we’ll share the vision and collaboration behind the Ontario Community Food Center project as part of the Rooted + Rising campaign.
This celebration coincides with Hunger Action Month, and will also serve as this year’s pre-conference reception for the Four Rivers Healthy Community Conference (https://4rhc2026.eventbrite.com/). You’re invited! Come join this exciting milestone for our community!

¡Nos complace invitarle a una fiesta comunitaria especial para celebrar el inicio de las obras del futuro Centro Comunitario de Alimentos de Ontario (Ontario Community Food Center - Terreno baldío entre River Bend Place y el centro médico Valley Family Health Care en Fortner)! ¡Este evento es gratuito y abierto al público!
Acompáñenos en el futuro emplazamiento del Ontario Community Food Center (el terreno baldío situado entre River Bend Place y la clínica del vecindario Fortner de Valley Family Health Care). El Centro Comunitario de Alimentos será un recurso fundamental para el acceso a alimentos, la conexión y el bienestar de la comunidad, prestando servicio a los condados de Malheur y Harney.
