About this Event
What happens when different people, ideas and experiences come together to create something new?
Inspired by the interconnectedness of the natural world, from mycelial networks and trees to communication within the human body, this intergenerational collaborative workshop explores how we are shaped by the people and environments around us.
Groups of 4-5 participants will work together around a table, with each group given the same selection of materials and a word or topic as a starting point. Participants will then decide collectively what they want to create. A series of open-ended questions will encourage conversation, allowing participants to share experiences, memories and ideas. Conversation becomes part of the creative process: individual ideas connect, relationships form, and thoughts begin to take physical form through the materials. The artwork becomes not only the outcome, but also a physical record of the connections and relationships formed throughout the process.
