About this Event
Common Ground is an in-person Local Business Luncheon & Relationship Exchange. Join fellow local business people to connect, build relationships, and enjoy time together over lunch.
Good local business relationships usually begin with a useful conversation, not a sales pitch.
Common Ground: Local Business Luncheon & Relationship Exchange is a small-format lunch for local business owners, consultants, independent professionals, and community-minded operators who prefer deeper conversations over crowded networking events.
With only 20 seats, the event is designed so every participant has time to introduce themselves, listen, and contribute.
The luncheon includes three simple components:
Guided Table Conversations
Small-table prompts help participants discuss:
- what their business or professional role does;
- current operating priorities;
- local resources they have found useful;
- challenges they are comfortable discussing;
- types of professional relationships they are open to exploring.
Resource Exchange
Participants may share general recommendations such as:
- professional organizations;
- community resources;
- local vendors;
- educational programs;
- operating tools;
- useful business services.
Sharing a resource is not an endorsement by the organizer.
Relationship-Building Lunch
The meal is intentionally paced around conversation rather than presentations.
There is no keynote, formal pitch session, lead list, or required referral exchange.
No client, referral, partnership, contract, or commercial result is guaranteed.
Aggressive selling, MLM promotion, investment solicitation, lead harvesting, and repeated unwanted follow-up are not permitted.
