In partnership with Chanya Culture, FORWARD is running ‘Artists Unite to End Abuse Against African Girls & Women’, a new project funded by Arts Council England.
Join us for:
Come As You Are: Creative Writing & Spoken Word Workshops
Led by Sukina Noor, with co-facilitator Rakaya Fetuga, these workshops create a space for young women aged 18-30 of African heritage, diaspora and Global Majority backgrounds to explore consent, bodily autonomy and violence against women and girls (VAWG), including FGM, through creative writing and spoken word & hip hop.
Please note: attendance at all workshops is ideally required to get the most from this series, as each session builds on the last.
Refreshments are included at every session.
