About this Event
A hand. A strum. A beat. A flick of the wrist becomes synchronized with music that comes pouring in. In “Color, Movement, & Space,” what begins mundane is instantly transformed into something that entrances, daring us to look away. These films cultivate a spectacle, a program that is always in motion, offering brief escapes into constructed worlds in which aesthetic sensibilities give way to the laws of reality. Style is the guide here, as these films are dominated by hypnotic images that stir us, inexplicably appealing to senses we didn’t know we had, but leave us thrilled to have discovered.

Program Lineup:
Entangled Body directed by Minsu Kim
Entangled Body traces the process through which three bodies, placed at different heights, move through competition and collision toward an entangled relationship. The platforms divide above and below, and each body reaches upward, yet the force that pushes them apart paradoxically binds them more closely together.
AMBERSTICHE directed by Victoria Juemei Gong
This film follows four hybrid beings, part human and part animal, as they enact their final moments before becoming suspended within amber, a luminous substance that both preserves and immobilizes.
Punished God directed by Yung-Hsin Katerina Hung
A prologue to a myth in ruin, this film introduces a punished goddess before the fall becomes transformation. Through ritual, body paint, ceremonial garments, and a red-lit underworld, the film traces the moment before a myth collapses and is rewritten by the body itself.
Spookystack - Paper Skin directed by Malcom Fisher
A clown gives a man a cassette.
CYPHER directed by Ruby Caroline Gleber
There’s something primal and unsettling about a dancer performing in total silence—giving everything, only to be met with blank stares. That dissonance, that invisible tension between expression and indifference, is the heart of this short film.
Ronnie Stone - Bound 2 The Rhythm directed by Rosa Luna and John MacKay
A journey into the dungeon clubs of New York City.
The Tale of Threads and Needle directed by Nikolai Sidorov-Frantsuzov
Not all whiteness is purity. Not every light leads to salvation. She is a witch in feathers, born of death, dancing on the edge between beauty and destruction. The snake in her hands is not evil, but its cause: ancient as nature itself.
Slowly directed by Brian Herrera Gladstone
Tender music video for Tru Pierone’s song of the same name.
A Complete Mess directed by Ying Hu
A young woman attempts to clean her apartment.
Tulipomania - I've Been Told: Absolution directed by Cheryl Gelover and Tom Murray
Inspired by an invitation from acclaimed author Jeff VanderMeer to contribute music as part of the publication of his latest novel ‘Absolution,’ this Tulipomania music video explores various states of disintegration, painstakingly assembling thousands of individual images, to evoke the novel’s themes of dissolution and disorientation.
