About the Exhibition Artwork

Deconstructed Pages is a series of collages that dismantles and reconstructs the printed page. Using 1970s and 80s London arts magazines, fragments are torn apart and reassembled into new compositions, transforming familiar materials into alternative visual narratives.

Rooted in the aesthetics of vintage print media, the collages rework the language of magazines into layered imagery. The work draws on the pulse of city life, the power of advertising, and the spectacle of performance, while deconstructing how women are seen, read, and consumed within visual culture. By subverting text into image, the collages question what we choose to read and what we consume visually.
