About this Event
Caring for other people can be hard on your back.
Long shifts, stress, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and constantly being “on” can all add up over time. This workshop is designed for nurses, teachers, therapists, counselors, doctors, first responders, social workers, and anyone else who spends a lot of their day taking care of others.
We’ll break down why your back may feel tight, tired, or irritated — and give you a few simple tools you can actually use during your workday.
You’ll learn:
- A simple breathing technique to help you feel more relaxed and supported
- Easier ways to bend, lift, and move without putting as much stress on your back
- How to break up long periods of sitting or standing
- Why small movement habits throughout the day can make a big difference
- A simple look at how chiropractic, movement, and your nervous system all connect
No complicated exercises. No hour-long workout.
Just practical things you can take with you and start using right away.
You spend a lot of time taking care of everyone else. This one is about taking care of you, too. So bring a friend, comfortable clothes, and we'll see you there!
Where to Meet
We’ll gather around the main BBQ/picnic eating area at Houge Park. Look for our group near the tables—we’ll have the space set up for everyone to check in, grab some food, and settle in.
A Glimpse of the Evening
Arrive, check in, and grab some food while we hang out and get to know each other. From there, we’ll ease into some light movement, guided breathing, and a few simple ways to reset after a long week—then finish with time to relax, connect, and enjoy the evening together.
- 4:45–5:00 check-in
- 5:00-5:15 snacks/connection
- 5:15–5:30 movement
- 5:30–5:45 breathing/reset
- 5:45–6:00 tie it all together + close
