🎬 CLOCK DOC TALK! 🕰️
A Screening of Whispers + Conversation
What happens when you start paying attention to the things everyone else walks past?
Join New York City Clocks creator Suzanne Dirks and filmmaker Marcus Adolf for a special screening of Whispers, a short documentary about one New Yorker's fascination with the city's public clocks and the unexpected people, stories, and connections she's discovered along the way.
New York City's clocks were once essential to everyday life. Today, many have faded into the background, despite the history, artistry, and stories they hold.
Following the screening, Suzanne and Marcus will be joined by cinematographer Chris Chu and Tory from Bogardus Plaza for a conversation about the making of the film, the history of NYC's public clocks, and why these often-overlooked landmarks deserve our attention.
Come celebrate the city, its clocks, and the magic of looking up in NYC!
